The TEXO Foundation is committing its support for another year to local children’s healthcare charity The Archie Foundation.

The engineering and fabrication firm is going into its third year supporting the charity and has generously donated £10,000 towards two key fundraising events, Tayside Big Band Ball on Friday, March 17 at The Inchgarth Hotel, Dundee and Archie’s Disco Ball on Saturday, August 26 at The Chester Hotel, Aberdeen.

Lynne Brooks, Partnership Manager at The Archie Foundation, said: “We are incredibly grateful to TEXO for their ongoing support and very excited to have them as sponsors for two key fundraising events this year. The previous support we have had from TEXO has been invaluable, and we are looking forward to all that this year brings for the partnership.”

The Archie Foundation, based at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital (RACH), funds specialist roles within the hospital, equipment, and projects, as well as providing temporary on-site accommodation and financial support to families. Archie also supports babies and families requiring neonatal services, as well as bereaved children who have lost a loved one.

Chris Smith, Managing Director at TEXO, said: “We are delighted to be supporting Archie’s fundraising events this year to ensure maximum funds go directly to the families Archie support. This donation is just the beginning of our support for Archie in 2023.”

Alongside the donation, TEXO is continuing to support through their donation of tickets for families and NHS staff for Aberdeen Football Club home matches.
