The Chamber is recruiting a new communications executive

The Chamber is looking for an experienced marketing, PR and communications professional to join the marketing & communications team to work on two major projects.

Position: Communications executive

Location: Bridge of Don, Aberdeen

Contract: Fixed term negotiable full or part-time

Salary: Competitive salary for the right candidate + staff benefits

The role

As a competent communications executive you will have at least two years’ experience and a proven track record of getting results in developing and delivering communications campaigns.

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to be part of developing and delivering an exciting new project for the Chamber, working directly with the team leader on all aspects of advertising, marketing, stakeholder engagement and media relations.

This will involve building profile for the campaign, seeking out good stories and sharing these across multi-media platforms.

The role will also include helping review the Chamber’s existing website, identifying creative opportunities to update the layout and content; and working with our digital provider on the delivery of a new website.

Essential

  • Experience of website audit and development
  • Proven track record in delivering plans and meeting objectives
  • Experience of digital marketing and online content creation
  • Good writing, proofing and editing skills
  • Enthusiastic, creative and proactive attitude

Preferable

  • Good organisational skills
  • Experience of media relations and video creation
