An epic two-day indoor athletic spectacle, The Gauntlet Fitness Race, will push competitors to their absolute limits with fierce challenges, heart-pounding action, and an atmosphere buzzing with energy at P&J Live in Aberdeen on Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th September 2026.
The Gauntlet’s fast, functional test combines cardio machines, bodyweight work, strength-based challenges and the famous hurdles. Competitors can choose to take on The Gauntlet individually or join forces with a partner, with divisions available for female, male and mixed pairs.
From ages 16 to 50+, the diverse divisions welcome all competitors and we encourage friends and family to come support at the iconic P&J Live.
Simon Thomson, organiser of The Gauntlet, said: “We’re giving the people of Northeast Scotland the opportunity to really test their fitness limits with this race, and are looking for participants at any fitness level to get involved.
"Whether you’re used to competitive fitness or are just starting out on your fitness journey, entrants will test themselves on cardio, strength and endurance.
"Competitors usually finish somewhere between 50 minutes to around an hour, but there’s always an opportunity to set a record or beat a personal best.”
Claire-Lena Miller-Davis, Senior Business Development Manager – Exhibitions and Events at P&J Live, said: “While our venue has hosted professional athletes during the strongman and CrossFit challenge at Rogue Invitational, this marks the first time we’ve welcomed a large-scale community fitness event that is all about participation and open to people of all fitness levels, from competitive athletes to everyday gym goers.
"We look forward to seeing hundreds of competitors to sign up – it’s time to get training!”
Athlete registration opens on Thursday 30th October 2025 at 10am. For more information and to sign up, please visit The Official Gauntlet Instagram page @officialgauntletuk.
