A stay at the Aberdeen Douglas Hotel is never just about a comfortable bed. Right on its doorstep in Shiprow Village, you’ll find an array of vibrant venues to explore, including a local favourite and hidden gem, The Old Workshop cocktail bar.

Tucked away in an atmospheric, candlelit brick tunnel (once a coal store and, yes, a workshop!), The Old Workshop is back with a brand-new summer cocktail menu launching Wednesday 13 August. Featuring 15 bold new concoctions, this menu brings the sunshine with fresh ideas and a mix of local and exotic ingredients.

Highlights include:

  • The Foo’Long Tea - Glenfiddich 15 yo Whisky, Briottet Pamplemousse, Yuzu, Saline, Soda and Grapefruit & Peach Oolong Cordial – rich, earthy, and beautifully balanced.
  • The Adrian - Olmeca Tequila Blanco, Briottet Manzana Verde, Acid Solution, Gomme, and an Iron Brew Beer Float from local legends Fierce Brewing – sweet, sour, and fruity.
  • Heirloom Martini - Hendrick’s Gin, Tomato Liqueur, Briottet Basilic, Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur, Olive Bitters, and Worcestershire Sauce – savoury, sweet, and umami perfection.

Join The Old Workshop for a cocktail (or two) and discover one of Aberdeen’s most atmospheric spots.
