Major deal struck as Aberdeen building sells for £13.5million

An Aberdeen training centre building has been sold in a deal worth £13.5million.

The Survivex building at Kirkhill Commercial Park in Dyce has been acquired by French firm Remake Live. The 5,113sq m property was previously owned by Knight Property Group.

The commercial deal was the largest to take place throughout Scotland during the last quarter of 2025 with Knight calling it a “strong price” in current market conditions.

Marks & Spencer spending £340m on giant warehouse with robots

Marks & Spencer is to create 3,000 jobs by building a huge automated warehouse in the Midlands, as part of plans to double the size of its food business.

The retailer said it would invest £340million into a 1.3 million sq ft food distribution facility in Northamptonshire, creating 2,000 jobs during construction and a further 1,000 permanent roles once it opens in 2029.

Alex Freudmann, managing director of M&S’s food business, said the facility would “improve product availability” and lower costs in the long term.

Delta and United sued for selling 'window seats' without windows

Delta Air Lines and United Airlines have been sued by passengers who claim they were charged extra for a window seat but found themselves sitting next to a blank wall.

The lawsuits, filed separately against the US carriers, seek millions of dollars in damages for more than a million customers of each airline.

They said the companies do not flag that the seats are windowless during the booking process, even when charging a premium for them.

Aberdeen man scoops £1,885 prize in Tennent’s Lager giveaway

An Aberdeen man is celebrating winning £1,885 thanks to a Tennent’s Lager visit to the Granite City yesterday.

Charlie Rothnie, 20, was left nearly speechless after pulling the top prize as part of the beer giant’s “Braving the Summer” campaign.

The campaign is the company’s way of brightening spirits as the summer draws to a close, with prizes officially called “rain cheques”. Aberdeen was chosen as part of the tour due to experiencing “persistent rainfall” in summer 2024.
