TLC has successfully coordinated a dedicated vessel charter and end-to-end logistics operation for the transportation of specialised industrial equipment from Libreville, Gabon, to Durban, South Africa.
The shipment included a 32-metric-tonne turbine and 14 packages of accessories and spare parts, transported under door-to-door terms.
The operation required the mobilisation of a Landing Craft Tank (LCT) and a 180-tonne crane in Libreville's lagoon, alongside export customs clearance, vessel sourcing, chartering and coordination of all pre-shipment activities.
Working within a tight vessel schedule, TLC coordinated the different stages of the operation to ensure the cargo was ready for its planned departure.
The project demonstrates TLC's capabilities in combining vessel chartering, local operational expertise and integrated project logistics solutions to manage complex industrial cargo movements across Africa.
