Chart-topping artist Tom Grennan took centre stage at The Chester Hotel on Friday 20 March 2026, headlining the JEllie Foundation Music Evening and delivering a standout night of live music in Aberdeen.
Welcoming over 300 guests, the sold-out event combined world-class entertainment in an intimate setting at The Chester Hotel.
The evening reached a compelling high point as Grennan delivered a powerful and captivating live set. With his distinctive vocals and commanding presence, Grennan provided a fitting centrepiece to an evening dedicated to supporting meaningful causes. The evening also featured live performances from returning favourites The Gypsy Queens, while Madhen closed the night in style with a high-energy set that carried guests through to a vibrant finale.
Guests were welcomed with a champagne reception before enjoying a three-course dinner crafted by Head Chef Chris Gray and his team, setting the tone for the performances that followed.
The event forms part of The Chester Hotel’s ongoing partnership with The JEllie Foundation, founded by hotel owners Gillian and Graham Wood. Established to leverage the hotel as a platform for world-class experiences, the Foundation raises vital funds for local children’s charities through a portfolio of standout events.
These include the JEllie Music Evening, the renowned JEllie Comedy Lunch, and the highly acclaimed Signature Food Festival — all hosted at The Chester Hotel and together raising more than £2.4 million for charities across the North-East of Scotland.
Graham Wood, co-founder of The JEllie Foundation, said: “It was an incredible evening and a real celebration of what these events are all about — bringing people together for a fantastic experience while raising vital funds for local children’s charities. The support we continue to receive is truly inspiring.”
Now in its third year, the JEllie Foundation Music Evening continues to evolve in both scale and reputation, with anticipation already building for its return in 2027.
