The prestigious annual dinner of the Energy Institute’s (EI) Aberdeen, Highlands and Islands branch will take place on Thursday, May 9 with tickets already being snapped up.
The popular annual black tie gathering at Aberdeen’s Marcliffe Hotel & Spa is widely regarded as one of the industry’s premier events in North-east Scotland, and a highlight of the local branch calendar.
The evening has a notable track record of attracting exceptionally high-profile speakers and delegates, and 2019 will be no exception with the influential lineup to include:

- Phil Kirk FEI (CEO, Chrysaor)
- Susan Mackenzie (Director of Hazardous Installations, HSE)
- Ian Blackford MP
Tickets are already on sale for what is regularly a sell-out evening which attracts in the region of 400 guests annually.
Commenting on preparations for the occasion, branch chairman Laurie Mackay CEng FEI said: “The Aberdeen, Highlands and Islands branch has again excelled itself in securing a very strong list of speakers to address our annual dinner next May.
“Among those delegates already booked to attend, we have representatives of some of the top businesses from the energy community within the branch area and we are looking forward to another sell-out event at the Marcliffe.”
