Dr Julie Hunt was delighted to accept an invitation from Topsides UK to deliver a keynote speech on mental health at the organisation’s annual conference.

Dr Hunt, Director of Medical Services for Integrity HSE’s Medical Clinic, received praise for her straightforward and factual delivery of informative, engaging and empirically evidenced information.

Steve Harris, Integrity HSE’s Managing Director told us, “Dr Hunt’s speech was refreshing, it was medically valid and offered valuable insights and advice about how to effectively manage mental health in the workplace. This is a welcome change from the questionable pseudoscience that is so often pushed by Aberdeen’s crowd of self-appointed experts”.

Academically, as a graduate of the University of Aberdeen (MBChB), Dr Hunt earned a Diploma in Travel Medicine (Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow), Postgraduate Certificates in Primary Health Care (University of Winchester) and Medical Education Practice (Bangor University), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Remote and Global Healthcare (University of Plymouth).

Vocationally, prior to her role at Integrity HSE, Dr Hunt served as a Medical Officer with the British Antarctic Survey and was a Senior Doctor with Carnival UK, as well as working as a Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine and Medical Education with NHS Wales. Dr Hunt also contributed to hyperbaric and diving medicine at DDRC Healthcare and supported leadership development in the Wessex Next Generation GP programme.
