Touch of Love Outreach has expressed its thanks to trustee Vivienne Amakiri as she steps down from her role after several years of service.
Vivienne became part of the Touch of Love Outreach in 2021, when the charity was still in its early years and growing through the difficult COVID season. At that time, much of the work was still taking shape, with the organisation responding to rising need in the community while building its structures, services and volunteer base.
From the time she joined the organisation, Vivienne contributed her time, energy and commitment to the work. She supported the charity as it developed its early procedures, strengthened its community activities, helped with events, and played a steady role in the growth of Touch of Love.
A major part of Vivienne’s contribution has been through the charity’s foodbank work. For several years, she devoted her time every week to supporting foodbank delivery, serving families, working alongside volunteers, helping organise the service, and creating a warm and welcoming space where people were treated with dignity and care.
Vivienne also contributed to the charity’s wider community work, including its early dance group and youth group. Her contribution has been part of many of the building blocks that helped shape Touch of Love into the organisation it is today.
Reflecting on Vivienne’s contribution, Dr Jane Ogamba Akadiri, Founder and CEO of Touch of Love Outreach, said:
“Vivienne has been part of our story from the early days, and her contribution is deeply woven into the growth of Touch of Love. She gave her hands, her heart and her time, often quietly and consistently, to help strengthen the work. From the foodbank to events, youth activities and the many things that happen behind the scenes, Vivienne has served with real commitment. We are truly grateful for all she has given, and we wish her peace, joy, rest and every blessing in this next season.”
As Vivienne steps into a new season and focuses on other commitments, Touch of Love Outreach extends its thanks for her service, her support, and the difference she has made across the charity’s work.
