The potential for the World Rally Championship to boost tourism in the north-east will be among the headline topics at a major industry conference in Aberdeen next month.

The North-east Scotland Tourism Conference, held in association with Aberdeen International Airport, will take place at P&J Live on Wednesday, November 4.

The biennial event will bring together tourism and hospitality businesses to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the visitor economy across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and the wider north-east over the next decade.

Representatives from Motorsport UK and Finland will explore what Rally Scotland and the World Rally Championship could mean for tourism, local businesses and the region's international profile.

Other sessions will examine transport connectivity, workforce recruitment and retention, accessible tourism and the future development of the sector.

Artificial intelligence will also feature throughout the programme, with discussions on how emerging technology can improve productivity and support the development of new tourism products.

Delegates will have opportunities to participate in breakout sessions covering storytelling, accessible tourism and the incentive travel market, alongside networking with businesses from across the region.

An accompanying exhibition will showcase organisations working in tourism, hospitality, events, skills development and business support.
