Elevator, Scotland’s leading business support organisation and local business support service, Business Gateway Aberdeen City & Shire launch a new entrepreneurial festival. The festival is delivered in partnership with Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Council.
The Transform Business Festival takes place at Aberdeen Science Centre on Tuesday, November 8 and will bring together businesses across the North-east to help them to flourish and grow.
The one-day event is free to attend and will be a hub for entrepreneurial activity, connecting entrepreneurs, start-ups and businesses of all shapes and sizes. It is aimed to inform, educate and help businesses and individuals transform their futures by highlighting the wide varied support available.
The line-up includes an inspirational opening act as Giles Duley, the One Armed Chef, will be a guest speaker at the Business Breakfast. Photojournalist, storyteller and campaigner, Giles lost both legs and an arm while on patrol with the US Army and will share his story of determination, courage and overcoming incredible odds.
Other business leaders appearing include e-commerce guru Ben Leonard, coaching expert Jamie McBrearty, health coach Jasmin Corbett and Dr Fiona McIntyre of Greyhope Bay and Elevator CEO Gary McEwan.
There will be an exciting range of Bitesize Business Sessions and Fireside Chats throughout the day too. These will cover topical issues from starting a business, branding, and selling online to reducing costs and looking at the shape of workforces of tomorrow. Interactive and fun, these will be delivered by industry experts including The Federation of Small Businesses, marketing agency Korero, business consultants Delfinity and Flexibility Works.
The festival will also see a range of support organisations offering their expertise to help delegates convert their commercial ideas into reality in a dedicated Eco-System Village exhibition area. The area, open from 9:30am will feature industry-leading organisations such as Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce, Opportunity North East, Net Zero Technology Centre and Scottish Enterprise.
