Trinity Hall was honoured to host the Archie’s Child Bereavement Service Autumn Conference 2025 on Saturday, 4th October.
The event, themed “Difficult Conversations about Death: Supporting Children and Young People Through Trauma”, brought together professionals, volunteers, and community members committed to improving bereavement support for children across Scotland.
Organised by The Archie Foundation, the conference ran from 10am to 3pm, followed by a volunteer reception from 3pm to 4pm, celebrating the dedication of those who provide frontline support to grieving families.
As the historic home of the Seven Incorporated Trades of Aberdeen, Trinity Hall provided a fitting venue for this impactful event. The conference featured expert led sessions, practical workshops, and moving personal stories, all aimed at equipping attendees with tools to navigate the complexities of child bereavement with empathy and confidence.
“We are proud to have hosted such a meaningful and forward-thinking event,” said Ian A. MacIntosh, The Master of Trades Hospital of The Seven Incorporated Trades of Aberdeen. “The Archie Foundation’s work is vital to our community, and we are committed to supporting initiatives that foster resilience and healing for young people facing loss.”
The event underscored the importance of collaborative approaches between healthcare, education, and social services, and highlighted the growing need for trauma-informed care in bereavement support.
Trinity Hall extends its gratitude to The Archie Foundation and all attendees for making the day a success. The Seven Incorporated Trades of Aberdeen look forward to continuing our partnership with organisations that enrich the lives of children and families in the Northeast and beyond.
