US president Donald Trump will today meet with Sir Keir Starmer at the prime minister's country residence - Chequers.
After meeting King Charles at Windsor on Wednesday, where he enjoyed a state banquet and a ceremonial flypast from the Red Arrows, Trump will head to Chequers where a joint press conference will also be held.
Downing Street has confirmed Starmer plans to present Trump with an array of gifts during the visit, including a "bespoke red box", the briefcases used by ministers to transport official papers.
He will also receive a hamper containing homemade jams and shortbread, English bone China mugs and some "light reading", the BBC reports.
Addressing the 160 attendees at the state banquet on Wednesday, Trump described it as one of the "highest honours" of his life.
Describing the relationship between the US and the UK, he added: "The word special does not begin to do it justice,"
