Tullos Training Ltd is celebrating the remarkable 45-year career of Iain Garrett, whose leadership has played a pivotal role in shaping the organisation.
Iain began his career in 1976 as a mechanical apprentice in Aberdeen, attending Tullos Training in his early years before returning in 1981 as a Mechanical Instructor. Progressing rapidly, he became Senior Instructor in 1986 and Group Training Manager in 1988, later moving into the role of Chief Executive.

During his tenure, Tullos Training expanded beyond its engineering roots into electrical installation, plumbing and refrigeration, strengthening its position as a leading vocational training provider. He also oversaw key developments in facilities, supporting the organisation’s continued growth.
Iain’s contribution has helped create opportunities for generations of learners while ensuring industry has access to highly skilled professionals.
