Gray O’Brien, Bill Ward, Ricky Norwood, Tristan Gemmill, and Ben Nealon will lead the cast of Twelve Angry Men when it comes to Aberdeen's His Majesty's Theatre this September.
The acclaimed stage adaptation of the 1957 three-time Academy Award nominated film will visit the city from Tuesday, September 15 to Saturday, September 19 as part of a nationwide tour.
Aberdeen Performing Arts Head of Programming, Steven Milne, said: "Twelve Angry Men is an enthralling courtroom drama which is perfect for a stage adaptation, and this production is as clever, thought-provoking and full of extra-ordinarily talented performers as the legendary original film. It is sure to be a fantastic night of theatre.
A jury has murder on their minds and a life in their hands as they decide the fate of a young delinquent accused of killing his father. But what appears to be an open and shut case soon becomes a huge dilemma, as prejudices and preconceived ideas about the accused, the trial, and each other turn the tables every which way, until the nail-biting climax.
The cast is led by Gray O’Brien, best known for his portrayal of Tony Gordon in Coronation Street and whose stage roles include and A Game Called Malice, Bill Ward, who is currently touring in the acclaimed stage adaptation of The Shawshank Redemption and whose TV roles include Charlie Stubbs in Coronation Street and James Barton in Emmerdale, Ricky Norwood who played Fat Boy in Eastenders, Tristan Gemmill, who starred as Dr Adam Trueman in Casualty and whose stage roles include The Bodyguard in the West End and Ben Nealon, who played Captain Jeremy Forsythe in Soldier Soldier.
