Global engineering company AtkinsRéalis and international oil spill response organisation OSRL have become the latest organisations to choose Aurora Aberdeen – the landmark office development bringing a growing community of world-leading businesses into the heart of Aberdeen city centre.
The SRE Group has transformed the former Caledonian House at the corner of Union Street and Union Row into Aurora Aberdeen, a £5million redevelopment delivering 43,750 square feet of modern, flexible Grade A office space.
The investment forms part of a wider effort to repopulate the city centre and accelerate the regeneration of Union Street, attracting high-value jobs, talent and innovation back into the heart of Aberdeen.
AtkinsRéalis, one of the world's leading engineering companies, has taken space within Aurora to support its expanding activities in the North-east of Scotland. Employing tens of thousands of people worldwide, the company prioritises local delivery with local people and delivers engineering, design and project management services across energy, infrastructure, transportation, defence and nuclear sectors.
Also moving into Aurora is OSRL, the world's largest industry-funded organisation dedicated to oil spill preparedness and response. Operating globally on behalf of more than 170 member organisations, OSRL provides emergency response capability, specialist technical expertise and preparedness services to the oil and gas industry.

Their decision to establish a presence at Aurora Aberdeen reflects both organisations' long-standing commitment to the north-east and the continued momentum behind Aberdeen city centre's transformation as a destination for high-value businesses.

Aurora Aberdeen has already attracted a diverse mix of ambitious businesses. Climate technology venture studio Ventex was the first to move in, followed by its portfolio company Rahd.AI, which is creating 30 new technology jobs in the city as part of its growth.
Strategic communication consultancy True North Advisors, global workforce solutions provider NES Fircroft, Aurora Offshore, digital marketing agency Mission10 and energy technology company Rock Flow Dynamics have also chosen the development as their base.
