Tymor Marine Ltd welcomes intern Nikoo Rahmani to our Aberdeen office. Nikoo, who has just completed 4th year of the MEng in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, has returned to her home city for the summer to gain experience of working within a Naval Architecture and Marine Consultancy.
Nikoo commented, “this placement will give me the opportunity to experience the working dynamics of a real consultancy and show me ways to apply the theoretical knowledge gained from my studies, into day-to-day naval architecture problems. In addition, I will have the opportunity to meet clients, visit ships and work alongside the team at Tymor who have years of experience in the field.”
Kevin Moran, managing director stated, “Nikoo joins at an opportune time where we are seeing sustained growth in the business. We are pleased to bring her on board for the summer, as we look to support young people in the world of STEM. After recent contract wins, Nikoo will gain experience on actual projects over the summer which should stand her in good stead as she continues her studies”.
Tymor Marine has a team of 15 staff and contractors in the UK and US. Further growth is expected over the coming months as our workload increases.
