Aberdeen's Vovem restaurant is set to reopen this week after a devastating fire more than a year ago.

The popular Union Street restaurant was severely damaged by a blaze in the kitchen area on September 26 2024.

Now, the Press and Journal reports, owner PB Devco has confirmed Vovem will reopen to diners on Thursday November 6 at 5pm.

Meanwhile, the new Superdry store in the Bon Accord Centre will open its doors at 10am on Friday, November 7.

It comes, the P&J reports, after the brand's Union Square store closed in February this year, with the vacated unit since becoming Aberdeen's first Victoria's Secret shop.

However, Bensons for Beds is to close its Union Square store on Saturday November 22.

The P&J reports that staff at the store will relocate to to the firm's outlet in Kittybrewster, which is currently being refurbished.
