Construction work to transform Union Street is "likely" to be delayed and run into next summer, Aberdeen City Council has warned.
In March, council officials said the completion of the work on the central section of Union Street between Market Street and Bridge Street would be delayed until spring 2026.
But now, The Press and Journal reports, the local authority has admitted the £20million scheme is "likely" to be pushed back until next summer due to issues around "productivity".
A report set to go before the council's finance committee reveals the project has involved more work than first thought.
It states: “There are a number of risks still present within the planned works, which if realised, are likely to extend the works into summer 2026.”
