The University of Aberdeen has appointed Christine Milburn as its new Chief Governance Officer and University Secretary.
In her new role, Christine will lead governance, strategic planning and risk management at the University.
Christine joins the University from Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) where she was Director of Strategic Delivery and Growth. She has worked in the Higher Education sector for more than 20 years, 19 of which she spent at the University of Dundee, working in roles across strategy, governance and staff development.
Christine will formally take up the role on 9 April.
She said: “It is an absolute privilege to have been appointed as the new Chief Governance Officer and University Secretary at the University of Aberdeen, and I look forward to officially joining the University.
“The sector is facing unprecedented challenges and change, but the University has shown itself to be creative and adaptive and I am delighted to be joining the Senior Management Team that will help guide and shape the University toward continued success while maintaining the unique character and sense of identity that makes it special.”
