University of Aberdeen Raising & Giving (RAG) Society is proud to announce Abbie's Sparkle Foundation as its Charity Partner for the 2026/27 academic year.

Throughout the year, RAG will work alongside the charity to raise funds and awareness through a programme of student-led events, volunteering opportunities and community initiatives. The partnership will bring together students, local businesses and the wider community in support of children and young people affected by cancer across Scotland.

Established in memory of Abbie Main, Abbie's Sparkle Foundation was created to fulfil her wish of raising "money towards hospitals and stuff." Today, the charity supports children aged 18 and under living with cancer by providing gifts, grants, family holidays at Abbie's Sparkle Lodge and practical support that helps create moments of joy during incredibly challenging times. The foundation also works to raise awareness of childhood cancer and sarcoma.

As the University of Aberdeen's student fundraising society, RAG works throughout the year to connect students, charities and local organisations through fundraising and volunteering. Partnering with Abbie's Sparkle Foundation reflects the society's commitment to supporting charities that make a meaningful difference within communities across the North East and Scotland.

RAG looks forward to an exciting year of fundraising and collaboration and welcomes opportunities to work with businesses and organisations who would like to support the partnership. Together, they hope to raise vital funds, increase awareness and help bring a little more sparkle to the lives of children and families who need it most.
