The University of Aberdeen has announced details of new opportunities for those looking to enhance their non-executive career portfolios and make a positive impact to the governance of a global higher education institution.

The University is seeking to appoint new independent members of its governing body – the Court – over the next 18 months, offering the chance to undertake a non-executive director role in a higher education/public sector setting and to make contribution to an organisation that is central to the future success of the North-East community.

Candidates will be individuals with a record of successful leadership within a public, private or third sector organisation who are passionate about supporting an internationally competitive research-based and diverse university. Experience of governance in a non-executive director/charity trustee role would be desirable and interest would be particularly welcome at this time from those with skills in any of the following areas: estates, construction or major capital and/or digital projects; IT/digital & cybersecurity; people and human resources; and environmental sustainability.
