Businesses looking to find out how they can tap into University of Aberdeen’s world class research facilities and expertise are being invited to attend a showcase event on Tuesday 28th October, 1:30-3:30pm.
The interdisciplinary Research Facilities Showcase will take place at P&J Live, bringing together researchers from across the University for an exhibition of the state-of-the-art research facilities they operate in.
Open to commercial enterprises as well as other universities and research institutions and NHS colleagues, it seeks to provide information on the cutting-edge research facilities based in the region and how to access them.
The event has been organised by volunteers from the Research Facilities working group at the University of Aberdeen, Dr Debbie Wilkinson, Dr Alex Brasier and the team from CPD & Event Services.
Dr Alex Braiser says: “For the past couple of years, we've collaborated across the departments and schools to organise the annual Research Facilities Showcase, and we are thrilled to see the event thriving. Our objective is to spotlight the University of Aberdeen's extensive array of top-tier facilities, accessible not only to our internal researchers but also to those from external research institutions and commercial enterprises. This event offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with highly skilled professionals, gaining insights into their equipment, expertise, and knowledge, and discovering how you can leverage these resources for your upcoming projects. We are grateful for the support this year from both P&J Live and Aberdeen Convention Bureau and welcome the opportunity to showcase our Research Facilities at the P&J live.”
