Instant Neighbour is appealing to Aberdeen’s business community for help in securing temporary premises for its 36th Giving Tree Appeal, which launches on November 11 2026.

For 36 years, the Giving Tree has helped provide Christmas gifts for children across Aberdeen and the North-east who might otherwise receive very little, or nothing at all. With many local families continuing to face significant financial pressures, the appeal remains a vital source of support for our communities.

Despite extensive efforts over recent months, we have yet to secure suitable premises to operate this year’s appeal. With time running out, we are urgently seeking support from local businesses, landlords, property owners and organisations that may be able to help.

We are looking for 3,000–5,000 sq ft of secure, ground-floor accommodation, preferably in or close to Aberdeen city centre, with access for Luton vans, toilet and kitchen facilities, and volunteer parking. The premises would be required from Monday 2 November until Friday 18 December 2026.

Ideally, the space would be made available rent-free or as a charitable donation, enabling us to direct our resources towards supporting local children and families.

The Giving Tree has been part of Christmas in Aberdeen and the North-east for 36 years, and we know how much it means to the children and families who benefit. We are determined to continue this tradition, but without suitable premises, delivering this year’s appeal will be extremely challenging.

Can you help? If your business has vacant premises, you know a landlord or property owner who may be willing to help, or you can connect us with someone who might be able to offer a solution, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Even sharing this appeal with your networks could make a real difference.
