Thousands of Vodafone customers across the UK were left without broadband or mobile data on Monday afternoon following a major nationwide outage.

Reports of disruptions began surfacing around 2:30pm, with affected users unable to access mobile data or home internet.

Downdetector, which monitors web outages, showed more than 130,000 people had flagged problems affecting their Vodafone broadband or mobile network on Monday afternoon.

While most customers could still make voice calls and send text messages, many were unable to use 4G or 5G services or connect to Vodafone's online account tools.

A Vodafone spokesperson said engineers were “working at pace” to restore services, and by Monday evening, partial connectivity had returned in several areas.

Vodafone is one of the UK's largest mobile providers, serving millions of users and several major business clients.
