Vulcan Completion Products has opened a new office and warehouse in Baku, marking a significant step in strengthening its long-term presence in the Caspian region.

The expansion follows the extension of a contract with a major operator in Azerbaijan, reflecting sustained confidence in Vulcan’s casing and completion portfolio and its performance in demanding well environments.

The firm’s new facility establishes a dedicated operational and commercial base in Azerbaijan, reinforcing Vulcan’s commitment to in-country capability and closer engagement with operators and service companies.

To support the expanded activity, Vulcan has appointed Elvin Azizov as Operations Supervisor and Asim Akhund as Quality Control (QC) Inspector. The appointments enhance operational oversight and quality assurance as activity continues to grow.

Rauf Aliyev, Regional Manager – Caspian & Türkiye at Vulcan, said: “The extension of our contract in Azerbaijan and the opening of our new Baku office represent a significant milestone for Vulcan in the Caspian region. This strategic expansion strengthens our local presence and enables us to deliver even closer, 24/7 operational support to our clients.

“We continue to see substantial opportunities across Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Türkiye. Our focus remains on building a sustainable and deeply embedded presence that is fully aligned with our clients’ requirements.”

The new Baku base will serve as a regional hub, enabling Vulcan to provide faster response times, improved technical support, and stronger collaboration with clients and partners across the Caspian and Türkiye. This expansion underscores Vulcan’s long-term commitment to the region and its strategy of delivering local, high-performance solutions in the oil and gas sector.

Mark Dundee, Vice-President at Vulcan, said: “The opening of this Baku office represents a significant investment in the Caspian region. Azerbaijan remains a strategically important market, and strengthening our in-country capability allows us to align more closely with the pace of activity in the region.”

Vulcan, which has its headquarters in Westhill, near Aberdeen [UK], has successfully delivered projects in more than 50 countries worldwide and continues to expand its international footprint across key upstream oil and gas markets. The company employs 50 personnel globally, including a dedicated team of five employees based in Baku.

The Caspian growth aligns with Vulcan’s ongoing product development programme, including the recent launch of PROBE™: MAGMA-SEAL, its HPHT casing shoe system. The portfolio is underpinned by an eight-strong design and engineering team and protected by 57 patents. Vulcan also has operations in the USA, Malaysia and the Middle East.
