The economic outlook can change quickly. That's why hearing directly from businesses every quarter matters.
The Quarterly Economic Survey provides a regular snapshot of business conditions across Aberdeen and the North-east — from sales and investment to recruitment, cash flow and confidence.
This year's results have highlighted a challenging outlook for many businesses, with 44% of firms in Q2 expecting profitability to fall over the next 12 months. The Q3 survey will help us understand whether that outlook is changing as businesses move towards the end of 2026.
Alongside the core economic questions, the survey asks businesses about their views on Aberdeen's future and the issues that could shape the region's economic prospects.
