Walking through the doors of Albyn School at an Open Event you will experience a place where opportunity meets tradition.
From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted not just by the grand architecture, but by the genuine warmth that sets the tone for the visit. These events aren’t simply about a tour - they’re about giving families an authentic glimpse into the spirit and community of Albyn.
With an Open Event scheduled every month until the end of the year, there are plenty of opportunities to explore their Nursery, Lower and Upper School, allowing visitors to tour their high-quality facilities and engage with staff and current pupils.
Albyn School is also home to Scotland’s only accredited French School, the Aberdeen French School, which offers a unique hybrid curriculum for francophones living locally.
Recognising that not every parent can take time out during the school day, Albyn also offers evening events with the same warm welcoming and structure. These are designed with busy work schedules in mind, giving families the chance to experience the school community, meet staff and pupils and ask questions.

Meet the teaching and pastoral staff
Their teachers are known for their passion, expertise and dedication. Families can meet teachers across all year groups and learn more about the curriculum and enrichment programmes. Their dedicated pastoral staff will also be on hand, ready to demonstrate the strong support system they place around each and every individual.
Take a tour led by pupils
One of the real highlights is the pupil-guided tours. Who better to show you the heart of the school than the pupils themselves? As you’re led through the bright classrooms, libraries, music and art studios and high-tech science labs, you’ll hear honest reflections about daily life - from the buzz of lessons to the friendships formed on the sports field and stage. The pupils’ pride is infectious and it’s hard not to imagine your own child thriving here.
Explore life beyond the classroom
Albyn’s Open Events also shine a light on the school’s wider offerings. Staff from sports, music, drama and co-curricular clubs are on hand to talk about opportunities that help children discover their passions. We offer a diverse range of co-curricular activities from sports teams and music ensembles, to language clubs, Formula 24 Racing, Duke of Edinburgh and arts and crafts.
