Following another successful year of celebrating Scotland's national drink, Whisky Week has confirmed its 2026 festival dates, with Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh each hosting the city-wide whisky festival.
Whisky Week brings together bars, distilleries and whisky brands to encourage both newcomers and enthusiasts to explore Scotland's whisky scene in a relaxed and welcoming way.
The 2026 dates are:
- Aberdeen: Thursday 20th August until Sunday 30th August 2026
- Glasgow: Thursday 27th August until Sunday 6th September 2026
- Edinburgh: Thursday 3rd September until Sunday 13th September 2026
Each city will feature around a dozen or more participating venues offering exclusive whisky experiences, specially selected drams and limited-edition serves.
Founder Charlie Bain said: "We created Whisky Week to try and make whisky feel less intimidating and more about discovery. Whether someone is completely new to whisky or has been collecting bottles for years, we want them to walk into a new bar, try something they've never tasted before and experience the incredible whisky culture that each city has to offer."
Unlike traditional whisky festivals held in a single venue, Whisky Week takes place across an entire city. Visitors purchase a wristband and guidebook, giving them access to exclusive offers and experiences at participating venues throughout the festival period.
Venue announcements, participating brands and tickets for Whisky Week 2026 will be released over the coming weeks.
Businesses interested in becoming a venue, brand partner or sponsor are encouraged to register their interest now by emailing drams@whiskyweek.co.uk
