The Chamber team were treated to a sneak peak at the Wild Goose - the stunning, unique new addition to Aberdeen city centre's bar scene.

Occupying the last of the pavilion buildings at Union Terrace Gardens, owner Stuart Ross has spared no expense in transforming the unit into a truly special venue.

Upstairs, lush greenery and beautiful views provide the perfect Instagrammable backdrop to the delicious cocktails expertly whipped up by the bar staff.

But it's downstairs where the truly unique aspect of Wild Goose lies - the immaculately refurbished and restored Victorian toilets.

It's a concept that might raise a few eyebrows at first, but you have to see it to really get a sense of the ambiance and vibrant mood in urinal area turned event space complete with candles and soft lighting.

Even the toilets that are still operating are a spectacle, painstakingly restored to maintain their Victorian charm.

As if all of that wasn't enough, Wild Goose is also setting out to showcase the very best of local produce with both its food and drink offerings.

Expect upmarket food and drink sourced from around North-east Scotland, such as fresh seafood platters landed in Peterhead by providers like Amity Fish Company, local artisan delicacies such as cheese boards from Cambus O’May, and drink mixers from providers like House of Botanicals as well as local brewers and distilleries.

As Stuart, who also founded Aberdeen-based catering firm Grub Fresh Food, showed the Chamber team around, his passion was clear to see, as was his drive to create something genuinely different and special.

Wild Goose is set to open this week in time for the Tall Ships dropping anchor, so be sure to stop by and "sea" what the fuss is about.
