Wilson James joins the Valuable 500 Company initiative

Wilson James is proud to announce that it has joined the Valuable 500.

This business to business initiative, launched at Davos in 2019, calls on 500 global businesses to commit to placing disability inclusion on their business leadership agendas.

Late last year Wilson James launched its public commitments as a business to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and listed its priorities as championing ability, LGBT inclusion and continued mental health awareness and support.

Joining the Valuable 500 is the first action on the company's 2020 agenda. It requires that a new, permanent agenda item is added to its operational boards around physical and hidden disabilities.

Gemma Quirke, managing director for security and aviation at Wilson James and strategic lead for EDI, said: “We are very pleased to have joined the Valuable 500 and its mission of driving disability inclusion as a business agenda at board level. The commitments it requires of its members ensure that, far from being paid lip service, inclusivity is a key strategic priority for organisations who recognise that diversity is a strength.

"The industries in which Wilson James operates require more voices and perspectives than ever before if we are to fulfil our responsibilities and objectives.Whether improving engagement across our workforce, or ensuring inclusive recruitment, we are proud to partner with other organisations who are prioritising the 1.3billion individuals living with disability worldwide.”
