IntrospeXion, the behavioural performance and wellbeing consultancy, is ending its first full year in operation with award recognition for its proactive approach to strengthening psychological safety, enhancing performance, and supporting the workforce.
Demonstrating nationwide endorsement of the impact of IntrospeXion’s support to high-risk industries, the company was recognised at two separate UK award shows in the space of three days.
Attending the 2025 Athena Awards in Aberdeen (Friday, 14th November), IntrospeXion founder Shabnum Hanif was crowned winner of the Health, Wellbeing & Lifestyle category. Hosted by BWC Aberdeen, the award recognises outstanding contributions to the wellbeing of organisations and individuals across the region, highlighting innovation, compassion, and meaningful impact in the field of psychological health.
This award was closely followed by IntrospeXion being named Best Early-Stage Start-Up Business at The Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards in London (Monday, 17th November). Despite being founded in Aberdeen, recognition from a country-wide awards panel marks a significant milestone for IntrospeXion, which has rapidly become a trusted partner for high-pressure sectors navigating workplace wellbeing, resilience, and performance challenges.
After commemorating its first anniversary since entering the market in October 2024, these achievements reflect the strength and dedication of the growing IntrospeXion team, now a leading presence in workplace mental health, particularly within offshore, energy and high-risk industrial environments.
Alongside Shabnum, IntrospeXion has added the expertise of Dr Neelam Zia to lead corporate clinics and offshore ADHD and autism assessment services, while Kelly Allen has joined the team supporting both individual clients and corporate organisations. Neelam and Kelley’s combined expertise will help IntrospeXion expand the accessibility and quality of wellbeing and mental health support for workers in complex, demanding environments in key target regions, including across Scotland and the north-east of England.
Following the award wins, Shabnum commented: “Receiving these awards has been an incredible honour, and they reflect not only our mission but our exceptional team. While recognition is encouraging, it will never be the reason we do this work. IntrospeXion was built with the belief that psychological support should be accessible, proactive, and grounded in real-world experience - especially in industries where pressure is the norm. This time of year can be incredibly challenging for the people in these industries, so we hope that these award wins will help highlight our services and show companies the type of support that is available to them and their personnel."
With 2026 fast approaching and many organisations reviewing their wellbeing, culture, and performance strategies, IntrospeXion encourages employers to consider a more integrated approach that blends psychological insight with operational reality, ensuring that wellbeing is not just a policy but a measurable driver of organisational success.
