WTA Energy has strengthened its Middle East operations with the appointment of Richard Wilson to its Dubai team as Managing Director.
Richard Wilson joins the business with extensive experience in project logistics, oil and gas supply chains and heavy‑lift coordination throughout the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Turkey. His career includes senior roles with GEODIS and Pentagon Freight Services, where he oversaw complex regional operations and supported cargo movements through major gateways across the Gulf.
His appointment strengthens the WTA Energy group’s project offering and provides additional on‑the‑ground oversight at a time when stability and responsiveness are essential.

The company’s presence in the UAE enables closer coordination with ports, free zones and regional partners, supporting more predictable and resilient supply chains.
John Sommer, Chairman of WTA Energy, said: “Richard brings deep regional knowledge and a proven track record in complex project logistics. The company is pleased to welcome him to the Dubai team at a time when dependable support in the Middle East is more important than ever.”
