Places are now available at Sport Aberdeen’s Summer Holiday Camps, with families across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire invited to register their places for children aged 5 to 12.

Running from Monday, July 6th, to Friday, August 7th, at various location across the city, the camps offer children the chance to stay active during the summer, make new friends, and enjoy a wide range of sports and activities throughout the school holidays.

The children will learn new skills in a fun, safe and supportive environment, designed to ensure that every camper feels engaged and included no matter their strengths or interests.

New for this year is a dedicated Netball Camp, which will give children the opportunity to train, play, and develop their confidence on court through skills sessions and games. Players will build core techniques including ball handling, footwork, passing, and shooting, all supported by experienced and encouraging coaches.

The ever-popular Multi-Sport Holiday Camp at Get active @ Cults, also returns with a jam-packed 5-week programme of activities including athletics, basketball, football, dodgeball, rugby, tennis, volleyball, and more. Each day is structured to keep children engaged from start to finish with a mix of games, challenges, and skill-based sessions.

Children can attend for a single day or a full week, with all week bookings now including a free camp t-shirt for all participants. Camps will run daily from 8.30am to 4.30pm, with children grouped by ages.

Kim McRobbie, Active Schools & EDI Manager, said, “Our holiday camps are a fantastic way for children to keep active and stimulated throughout the summer. They get the chance to try new sports and make friends in a fun and welcoming environment.

“The camps are designed to be a place where children feel safe and can have fun while building their confidence, developing new skills and discovering new activities.

“Whether they attend for a day or the full week, there’s truly something for every child.”

Alongside the core Multi-Sport and new Netball camp, families can also choose from a wider programme of specialist activities. Options include Multi-Sport with Tennis, Multi-Sport with Snowsports at Adventure Aberdeen Snowsports Centre, and Adventure Camps focused on outdoor activity and exploration.  Keep an eye out for our new and exciting in-service day offers too!

Spaces are expected to fill quickly, and families are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.
