Spectacular ways to celebrate tying the knot are on show as Your Wedding Exhibition returns for 2024.
P&J Live will once more be bursting at the seams with wedding inspiration during the weekend of 20 and 21 January with more than 170 exhibitors there for guidance and advice.
Your Wedding Exhibition is the region’s top wedding event, with the romance and glamour of the occasion captured in the twice-daily fashions shows. Thousands of brides and grooms come through the doors to discover everything from florists to photographers, cake bakers to confectioners.
A wedding “boom” saw more than 30,000 couples get married in Scotland last year. The National Records of Scotland figures were 24% higher than 2021 with the biggest number since 2012.
Personalised
Director of Your Wedding Exhibition Simon Morgan said: “With more than two and a half thousand visitors at the last exhibition, we’re looking forward to even more couples joining us to plan their perfect day.
“We’ve seen personalisation and the guest experience at the heart of wedding trends, as couples go above and beyond to make sure their wedding truly sums up who they are.
“Many couples are seeking to personalise their wedding ceremonies, and there’s been a 49% increase in search volume for ‘celebrant weddings’ in the past year.
“At the Your Wedding Exhibition, we have celebrants on hand to provide advice, and the traditional church wedding is also represented covering every religious denomination – we really do have something for everyone.”
And couples looking to find the ideal finishing touches also have lots of choice for inspiration. The Horse's Tipple, is a beautifully converted mobile events bar, while minigolf experts Party Putt are certain to add a an unforgettable element to the big day. Illumin8 can provide fairy lights and LED dance floors as well as their trademark illuminated letters.
Discovery
“We are proud to host a range of established experts and up-and-coming suppliers, and every year we discover new and exciting trends in the ever-evolving wedding industry,” said Simon.
“Our research shows us that a third of visitors find something they initially didn’t have in mind to source.”
The two daily fashion shows run each day for around 45 minutes, and free parking at P&J Live can save the visitor up to £10.
Louise Stewart, Head of Entertainment, Exhibitions & Marketing at P&J Live, said: “With such a varied selection of suppliers showcasing the latest trends, plus daily fashion shows, the Your Wedding Exhibition continues to be the must-visit show for any brides and grooms to be.
“From unique small businesses to larger established brands, there’s always something new to discover. We can’t wait to see what this year’s exhibition has in store.”
