Zenith Energy, one of the UK’s leading independent well engineering and project management companies with offices in Aberdeen, Perth Australia, Dakar Senegal, and Abu Dhabi, has announced the appointment of Ean Paul as Wells Team Leader/Drilling Superintendent.
The key appointment reinforces the company’s continued investment in expanding its wells capability with highly experienced personnel as it enters the new year.
Ean brings 23 years of offshore upstream experience and holds a BSc in Mechanical Design Engineering. He joins Zenith Energy with a strong technical and operational background spanning drilling, well engineering, well integrity, subsea systems and large-scale well abandonment projects.
His appointment supports Zenith Energy’s strategy to strengthen its wells team with senior, delivery-focused professionals capable of leading complex drilling and decommissioning programmes across the UK and international markets.
Ean most recently held a senior leadership role at EnQuest, where he served as Wells Superintendent and Well Team Leader on the 41-well Heather platform abandonment campaign.
Previously, Ean held senior drilling engineering and supervisory roles with Apache North Sea and Apache Energy Australia, supporting exploration, development and subsea drilling campaigns. His career also includes extensive drilling and subsea supervision with Perenco, Centrica, and others, underpinned by a strong engineering foundation developed at Aker Kvaerner and ABB Vetco Gray.
In his new role, Ean will lead well delivery teams at Zenith Energy, providing technical and operational oversight across drilling, intervention and abandonment projects.
