The circular economy is about designing out waste and moving from a throw-away society to one where we seek to find useful ways to use the waste we generate.
This might be by repairing, refurbishing or reusing products to extend their life span, using waste for different purposes giving it greater value or using one companies waste as a raw materials for a different process.
Circular North-east aims to inform and inspire businesses in the North-east of Scotland to adopt circular strategies.
We will connect companies across the region, helping them realise the benefits the circular economy presents to diversity, reduce costs, gain better value from their waste and explore the potential new business opportunities it presents.
An online survey was sent to the local businesses and responses were gathered to gauge the awareness of circular economy. Access the full report here.
