Success at work is about more than technical expertise. The ability to understand yourself, communicate effectively and build positive relationships with others is fundamental to personal and professional success.

ColourLens is an engaging, interactive workshop that helps participants develop greater self-awareness and understand how different people naturally approach communication, decision-making, problem-solving and relationships.

Using a practical, thought-provoking card-sort activity with a strong evidence-informed underpinning, participants discover their behavioural preferences in an enjoyable and highly engaging learning experience. Throughout the workshop they explore how different behavioural preferences influence the way we communicate, collaborate and respond to everyday workplace situations.

Participants leave with a greater understanding of themselves, practical strategies for adapting their communication style, and increased confidence in building productive working relationships with colleagues, customers, clients and stakeholders.

Whether you attend individually or as part of a team, ColourLens provides valuable insights that will help you communicate more effectively, reduce misunderstandings and strengthen professional relationships.

What you'll learn:

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Recognise their own behavioural preferences and communication style.
  • Understand and appreciate different approaches to work and relationships.
  • Adapt their communication to work more effectively with others.
  • Build stronger, more productive workplace relationships.
  • Reduce misunderstandings and improve collaboration.
  • Apply practical techniques to enhance communication with colleagues, customers and stakeholders.
  • Applying ColourLens to everyday scenarios
  • Personal development and action planning
  • Small-group problem-solving activities
  • Application to real workplace examples
  • Personal development planning

Who is it for?

  • Individuals who want to develop greater self-awareness, improve communication and enhance their professional effectiveness.
  • Managers and leaders looking to motivate others, strengthen team relationships and adapt their leadership style.
  • Teams wanting to improve collaboration, communication and mutual understanding. Organisations can also commission ColourLens as a tailored in-house programme aligned to their own teams and objectives.
  • HR, Learning & Development and People Professionals seeking an engaging and practical development programme that supports communication, emotional intelligence and team effectiveness.
  • Anyone who works with people and wants to build stronger relationships with colleagues, customers, clients or stakeholders.

Many organisations choose to send one or two people on the open programme as an introduction to ColourLens before commissioning a bespoke in-house workshop for their wider teams. Equally, the open programme provides an excellent standalone development opportunity for individuals who wish to strengthen their communication, relationships and professional impact.

Workshop format:

This highly interactive workshop combines facilitated discussion, practical activities, individual reflection and group learning in a supportive environment. Participants learn not only from the facilitator but also from sharing experiences and perspectives with people from a wide range of organisations and sectors.

No pre-course preparation is required.
