Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce and RSM are delighted to welcome Wayne Hemingway MBE for a special Business Breakfast, The Aberdeen Story.
One of the UK’s most influential designers and thinkers on place, regeneration and brand, Wayne is best known as the co-founder of iconic fashion label Red or Dead, as well as the driving force behind HemingwayDesign, which specialises in affordable, people-centred design.
From building a global fashion brand to leading award-winning housing, regeneration and placemaking projects across the UK, Wayne has consistently challenged conventional thinking about how businesses, communities and places are designed to work for people.
At this breakfast, sponsored by CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, Wayne will share insights from his career spanning fashion, design, housing and public space, exploring what makes places and brands succeed, how creativity drives commercial and social value, and why good design matters more than ever for economic growth and regeneration.
The discussion will also consider the role of design in revitalising towns and city centres, supporting inclusive growth, and creating places where people want to live, work and invest. Including an update on work designed to put the North-east back on the map for investors and visitors.
The event will coincide with the launch of the latest edition of the Chamber’s Investment Tracker, which maps billions of pounds being invested across the region.
