PwC has launched a new private business report that analyses the impact of CV19 for privately owned companies and looks at the road ahead for these companies.
The organisation has spent six months talking to private businesses about the lessons learned during a year unlike any other.
2020 has seen the biggest upheaval of the UK business community in modern times. Overnight, entire workforces shifted to remote working. International borders closed, with flights grounded. Logistics and supply chains required immediate reorganisation. At the same time, business leaders began to reimagine their role in society and to consider the legacy they would leave for future generations.
Through a series of interviews, PwC has captured the realities of life inside family and privately-run businesses all over the country, as they pivoted in the face of the CV19 pandemic.
Arif Ahmad, private business partner, said: “Within the private business community, we've seen countless examples of ingenuity and resilience, as business leaders used the crisis as a catalyst for change and innovation. As a result, many business owners and managers will start 2021 with a wholly different outlook on their business, their clients and their people. It has been a truly transformational year.”
