Aberdeen Cocktail Week kicked off from 9-19 October 2025, bringing together the city’s best bars, bartenders, and cocktail lovers for eleven days of cocktail adventures across the city.

This Autumn Edition features 27 venues and more than 75 exclusive cocktails, each one created by a named bartender especially for the festival and only available to wristband holders.

Every serve is unique to Aberdeen Cocktail Week and available for a limited time only, giving bartenders the chance to experiment, collaborate with local producers, and showcase their craft to a wide audience.

Charlie Bain, one of the festival organisers, said: “This festival is about giving bartenders the spotlight they deserve and reminding people just how much talent and creativity exists behind Aberdeen’s bars. It’s also a brilliant opportunity to welcome some exciting new venues to the city’s cocktail scene.”

Adrian Watson, chief executive of Aberdeen Inspired, said the city centre Business Improvement District is delighted to support Aberdeen Cocktail Week.

He said: “Aberdeen Cocktail Week is a celebration of the wealth of talent, passion and invention that makes the Granite City’s drinks and bar sector one of the best in the country.

“It is also one of the most popular festivals in the city’s cultural calendar, drawing in thousands of people to taste and enjoy the best our mixologists have to offer at prices which are the toast of the town.

“Not only that, it gives people a real taste for enjoying a night out and a good time in the city centre, not just for this special week, but all year round – and that’s something to raise a glass for.”

Among the newcomers is Wild Goose, a stylish new bar and brunch spot from the team behind Grub, now open in Union Terrace Gardens.

They join much-loved favourites such as Fierce Bar, The Dusk, and Under the Hammer, each presenting their own signature line-up of innovative serves that celebrate both local and international spirits.

Graeme Hetherington owner of Monty’s Wine Shop & Bar said: “From our perspective at Monty’s, Aberdeen Cocktail Week brings in such a brilliant mix of people - not just our usual wine lovers, but guests of all ages who come in, try our cocktails, and discover a new side to the venue.

“I hope visitors get to experience the variety of bars and styles Aberdeen city centre has to offer. Our nightlife is something we should really be proud of.

“Aberdeen Cocktail Week isn’t about convincing people that we have amazing bartenders - it’s about reminding ourselves that we already do.”

Throughout the festival, attendees are invited to vote for their favourite cocktail, helping crown one talented bartender with the prestigious Golden Jigger trophy - Aberdeen Cocktail Week’s award recognising the most loved cocktail of the festival.

With cocktails priced at £6 or less in every venue - along with a range of no-alcohol and showpierce creations, a single wristband unlocks access to all participating venues and their exclusive festival menus.
