With just over a week to go, Scottish Brain Sciences is inviting the people of Aberdeen to a free town hall–style event focused on the future of Alzheimer’s treatment, early detection, and how the public can play a vital role in research.
On Thursday, 12 June at 7pm, Professor Craig Ritchie - founder and CEO of Scottish Brain Sciences and a leading voice in brain health research - will lead an open community conversation titled “Changing the Future of Alzheimer’s Together” at King’s Church, Aberdeen.
This engaging and hopeful evening will explore the latest breakthroughs in Alzheimer’s research and practical ways for individuals to get involved - whether they are living with memory concerns, supporting a loved one, or simply interested in shaping the future of brain health.
The event includes a 45-minute talk, refreshments, and a Q&A session where attendees can ask questions and gain valuable insights.
“There is genuine progress happening in Alzheimer’s research,” says Prof Ritchie. “But we can’t move forward without communities like Aberdeen stepping up and getting involved. This evening is about sharing that sense of hope - and showing exactly how people can help.”
Scottish Brain Sciences (SBS) is a leader in brain health and Alzheimer’s clinical trials, with a growing base in Aberdeen at the ONE BioHub. The organisation is committed to making science accessible and ensuring communities are informed, involved, and inspired.
The event is free, but registration is required.
