Aberdeen Foyer are hosting an Open Day on May 12 to celebrate their new kitchen space and to welcome old and new acquaintances to learn about their services. The Lord Provost will officially open the kitchen at 10am but the Foyer’s Marywell Centre will be open for you to drop in from 9:30am to 2:30pm.

Aberdeen Foyer is a charitable organisation that operates in Aberdeen City and Shire. Their services focus on helping young people and adults into independent living, employment, and work. While they have a presence in the Shire, their Marywell Centre is an integral location for their service delivery, together with their Training Centre on Crown Street, which you will also have the opportunity to visit on the day.

Officially opening the kitchen marks a new, exciting post-CV19 era for the organisation. The kitchen will serve as a space to bring people together to enjoy a warm meal among friends. The Foyer have big ideas for the kitchen going forward – from themed cooking sessions to community larder.

During the Open Day, visitors will have the opportunity to see some of the Foyer’s work in action, take part themselves, chat with staff and also sit down and enjoy refreshments from the kitchen.
