Aberdeen Lifeboat was paged shortly after 10.00 am this morning, Thursday 28 June, to join the search for a person reported missing from the NorthLink ferry ‘MV Hjaltland’, sailing overnight from Aberdeen to Lerwick
RNLI lifeboats from Peterhead and Fraserburgh, together with the Coastguard SAR helicopter from Inverness, have been searching through the night: Aberdeen Lifeboat has been tasked to continue the search.
The search is being coordinated by Aberdeen Coastguard, to whom any further enquiries should be directed.
