Aberdeen Local Wine School is kick-starting their 2023 event schedule with their ‘Saturday Introduction to Wine with Lunch’ on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Malmaison Aberdeen.

The event will take place in the ‘Rubislaw Suite’ and attendees will start the day at 11am with a glass of Champagne in their hand. After a quick introduction of some basic wine tasting techniques, the day will continue with covering some of the main white grape varieties and their unique style and quality. Attendees will be tasting six different white wines covering not just the main grape varieties but also different wine producing areas from around the world.

After this, the team at Chez Mal Brasserie will be serving up a delicious three course Lunch including a cheese board as the third course. The afternoon will focus on the main red grape varieties, again, covering six different red grape varieties from a selection of wine producing areas from around the world. Tickets are priced at £110 and are available for purchase on the Aberdeen Local Wine School website.

Aberdeen Local Wine School is run by Anna Ferrier and was launched in August 2022. Anna has worked in the wine industry for over seven years and holds the WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) Diploma as well as being a certified WSET educator. She is looking to bring the world of wine closer to both novices and experts by learning and tasting a wide variety of styles, covering wine producing countries from across the globe. She is working closely with other local businesses and venues to run her events.
