Aberdeen Local Wine School has partnered up with the team at Olive Alexanders to offer an exclusive Burns Night Wine Tasting event on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 7pm.
The event will take place in the newly opened ‘Attolo Suite’ above Olive Alexanders, the Delicatessen based on Golden Square. Instead of a classic Burns Night supper there will be six bite-sized dishes served up paying homage to Scottish dishes and local produce. There will be six different wines perfectly matched alongside each course and the evening will be finished off with a wee dram. Attendees will be enjoying delicious Scottish food whilst learning about different wine styles and food matching advice. Tickets are priced at £60 and can be purchased via the Aberdeen Local Wine School website.
Aberdeen Local Wine School is run by Anna Ferrier and was launched in August 2022. Anna has worked in the wine industry for over seven years and holds the WSET (WIne and Spirit Education Trust) DIploma as well as being a certified WSET educator. She is looking to bring the world of wine closer to both novices and experts by learning and tasting a wide variety of styles, covering wine producing countries from across the globe. She is working closely with other local businesses and venues to run her events.
