Scott Anderson, Business Development Manager of Siberia Bar & Hotel and Belmont Street’s newest creation Dough & Co, last night won big at the Scottish Bar and Pub Awards which took place at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Glasgow. The marketer, 32, from Aberdeen overcame competition from across Scotland to take the title and be crowned the best in the country at the yearly awards ceremony.
Siberia has been the talk of the town this year, in part, thanks to Anderson’s social media presence. Using the whole staff team to create engaging and humorous video content which has seen them go as far as travelling the World and placing a billboard in Times Square, New York City to making a hit parody single. Anderson has helped to create a sense of community amongst the bar's clientele while also showcasing his love for the City of Aberdeen.
Anderson said; “It’s a great honour to have been named Digital Innovator of the Year at the awards last night. Although my name is on the trophy, it’s fully a team effort; without the help and personalities of all the bar staff, none of this could have been possible. It’s really the greatest pleasure to work with my best friends every day - so this award should also be for Scott K, Mickey, Finlay, Nicole and all the staff who help out in any way. All we ever want to do is show off the city as it’s such a huge part of our lives, we’re rarely selling any products within the video, we just want the city as a whole to be appreciated.”
