All three have worked with a North-east businessman over the past few months to bring big-venue events to life.
Adam Wilson, of Aberdeen, has enjoyed the biggest and best year of his career as his business – PCL Live – has taken off.
His firm, which launched during the CV19 lockdown, has found itself at some of Aberdeen’s biggest events since investing over £500,000 in cutting-edge new equipment.

And later this week, Adam could cap it all off by being crowned AV Professional of the Year in what is the Oscars of the UK’s £400million AV industry.
Celebrating the people behind the scenes
Behind every glitzy show and event there is an army of technicians working to make the production as slick as possible – and all will be celebrated at the annual AV Awards in London on Friday.
Success would cap a remarkable rise for 39-year-old Adam and his business, which now operates across Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, London, and Cardiff.
PCL Live provides hire, installation, live streaming and production using the latest audio-visual solutions.
The business launched in 2020 as Live Evolution and has self-funded itself through multiple periods of expansion.
The business rebranded as PCL Live in 2022 after entering a joint venture with Aberdeen’s PCL Group.
Big event support
Since then, the firm has worked to deliver some huge events, including Aberdeen Football Club’s freedom of the city event at Pittodrie, which was held to mark the 40th anniversary of the club’s European Cup Winner’s Cup win over Real Madrid.
More recently, it worked with Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce to deliver its Ultimate Masterclass Festival, which was headlined by Diary of a CEO star Steven Bartlett.
