AberFest will be held on April 23, 2023 in The Tunnels, Aberdeen from 4pm until 10pm in aid of AberNecessities.
AberNecessities
provides disadvantaged families with the essential and basic necessities that No Child Should Go Without. Since launching in 2019, the charity has helped over 10,000 children, however, still sees the local poverty rate at 21.8% - an unacceptably high number. 1 in 5 children living in Aberdeen are currently living in poverty. With the ever-worsening cost of living crisis it is more vital than ever to help these families. The event management students at Robert Gordon University, are extremely proud to be organising such a large-scale event in aid of such a deserving charity.
AberFest will be an exciting, one-day music festival. The line-up includes local bands and DJs across two stages, including Joyful, Chameleon Lady and All Night Passion. In addition, AberFest will see a popular local food truck, a VIP Lounge, charity activities and much more!
Through involving local artists and businesses the event aims to bring the local community together for a fun-filled day in the heart of the city.
AberNecessities’ goal is to provide local children with the necessities and opportunities they need to grow, learn, develop, and thrive and AberFest is only bringing the charity closer to achieving this and therefore needs your support.
